Our Story

Beginnings

The dream of starting Icy Links began in Toledo, Ohio, with Zach Walling. Shortly after Zach graduated from Eastern Michigan University while studying business and playing football, he was ready to bring style and fashion into the lives of active and purpose-driven individuals. His dream was always to inspire and instill purpose into all the lives he was able to touch. Creating Icy Links allowed him to reach a much larger audience of individuals, hoping to influence them with his faith, creativity, and attitude of love and service.

 

The Chain That Started It All

When Zach’s parents, James and Jennifer Walling, met in high school, Jennifer gifted her future husband a gold chain. After decades of wearing the chain, James later passed it on to his son, Zach. All throughout high school, Zach would style his golden rope chain with every outfit. Zach realized how one simple piece of jewelry could change your whole appearance. Throughout high school and college, he began to look for more affordable jewelry, but many of the pieces were far beyond his price range. This is when he started to look for less expensive options; however, the affordable products lacked quality. This is when he realized there was a problem… Many people love to style jewelry, such as gold chains, with their outfits, but paying thousands of dollars for one item is not affordable for the common customer. After testing products from many different manufacturers and experimenting with many different design processes and materials, Zach was able to find a team of manufacturers that could create real jewelry at an affordable cost, while still maintaining the best quality.

 

Our Purpose

The purpose of Icy Links is to serve and inspire. We are always thinking of ways in which our business can benefit our customers. We strive to instill confidence, joy, and motivation into every buyer’s life. Icy Links is a living testimony that if you put God first, take a leap of faith, and never quit… anything is possible. Here at Icy Links, we pride ourselves in our Christian faith and run our business with an “others first” mindset. This allows us to value our customers’ needs as a priority. Icy Links is a family.
